As Clinic Administrator of Microneurosurgical Consultants, P.C. it is my responsibility to work with our physicians and staff to meet your needs as a patient. Whether it is providing specialized staff, efficient comfortable space, or credentialing our physicians on your insurance carrier's panel, my job is the satisfaction of our patients and physicians.
Through continuing education with the largest organization of Clinic Administrators, Medical Group Managers Association (MGMA), I keep abreast of the upcoming changes in healthcare industry regulations and policies. This ensures that you are coming to a clinic that is compliant with all Federal and Oregon State privacy, security, and safety laws.
Our mission at Microneurosurgical Consultants, P.C. is quite simple. We want to provide the best in neurosurgical care for our patients. My personal goal is to assist our physicians and staff in their efforts to reach this goal.
Kathy Moore
Business Office Manager
My role as the Business Office Manager is to help individuals manage the complexity of medical/surgical billings.
I support our company operations by maintaining the billing office systems and supervising staff. My team and I oversee the entire billing process by monitoring to be sure maximum benefits and reimbursements are received from our contracted insurance vendors, as well as maintaining provider contractual agreements with insurance vendors.
I am an active member of the Portland Medical Community Managers and Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland. Healthcare billing is a complex, changing function. Fortunately, I enjoy learning and spend several weeks each year in payer seminars and advanced trainings.
I am confident the Microneurosurgical Consultants, P.C. billing team, and my 25 years of business and management experience, can provide you with hassle free courtesy billing to any of our contracted insurance vendors.

Martin Thompson
IT Manager
It is my job to manage the entire technology infrastructure and keep it running. With over 15 years in the Information Technology field and many years prior to that in school and as a hobby before beginning my tenure here at MNSPC, I have been able to further the work begun by my predecessor and improve on many of the ongoing projects. While too many to list, suffice it to say that my days are NOT boring.
In a world were more and more businesses are trying to move to a paperless, or as close to it as possible, work place, Microneurosurgical Consultants is well on it's way. We currently utilize two separate yet integrated software systems from GE to further that goal. Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records are the two systems that are most critical to our clinic's success in both exceptional patient care and that rapid move towards paperless functionality.
These two core systems, along with several ancillary components, exist on a solid backbone server platform comprised of IBM Blade Servers. In conjunction with these are other systems that we use to ensure high reliability and availability so that when patients need to be seen, whether in the office for regular visits or in the OR for surgical visits, our doctors and PA's have access to the information they need WHEN they need it.
In addition, we utilize many state of the art systems from IP phones to Power Over Ethernet to tape-less backups and many other leading edge technologies to ensure the stability and availability of our network environment.
I also manage Research Coordination and HIPAA Security. Rest assured that our patient's critical and personal information is secure and guarded at all times. The research that we do here at Micro while isolated to our actual patients, may one day reach out to many others and help improve the quality of their lives!
