Do you accept my health insurance?
In most cases, the answer is yes. Microneurosurgical Consultants is a Medicare participating provider. We are also on several major insurance plans. To be sure, click here for a complete list of our accepted insurance plans. It is a good idea to call the phone number on the back of your card to make sure that the doctor you will see is a participating member.
I don't have health insurance, can I still be seen?
We take a limited number of cash patients each month. Please call our billing supervisor for payment arrangements prior to your first visit.
Do you take Workmen's Compensation Claims?
Yes. However, we also require a private insurance to bill in the event your claim is denied. If you do not have private insurance, you will need to speak with the billing supervisor to make payment arrangements.
I received this bill, but my insurance company should have paid this.
Insurance billing is a complicated process. If you are sent a bill from this practice, you can be sure that the insurance you listed on your new patient paperwork was billed. Any questions you have about your insurance coverage should be directed to your insurance company. Microneurosurgical Consultants is not able to answer questions about deductibles met or out of pocket expense limits.
You billed the wrong insurance company for my surgery.
It is the responsibility of the patient to inform the practice of changes in coverage. Unless told otherwise, we bill the insurance listed on the new patient paperwork you give us.
